Thank You Sandy! Very Nice.
-----------
Hi, Warren.  Who should make art?  Funny question.  No everyone would agree, but here's my take on it:

Creating art isn't to be seen with the same eyes that one views a job or the products of a job.  So what's it for?  It's not
for the common man to pass the time, nor for the accomplished artist to earn a living.  Nor is it for the patrons or the art appreciators.  All of these are incidental.  It's for an outlet, a search, a challenge, a found voice, a therapy, an expression of conviction, a release, a confirmation.  And the best part?  No one needs approval or permission to do it!  The value of art-making is enormous.  Those who as children enjoyed participating in the arts, but no longer do so, have dismissed the gifts
they have, as well as the difficulties and triumphs that making arts brings, and the resulting expansion of both their self-
esteem and their boundaries that augment so many other parts of their lives.

Now Wasn't that Cute?

I counted about 35, I guess the others that made it ~50 were the self proclaimed Anarchists. If only they had a leader, then maybe they could achieve something. If only Emma Goldman were here! I was quoted in the TNT regarding the protest, but they spelled my name wrong. I don't think the protestors really read it, nor do they really know what they were protesting. Come see the handout here at TAS. It's a conspiracy man!

We had a great turn out for the Golden Product Lecture by Barbara DePiro. About 27 of you got the low-down on Golden acrylic and partook of free sushi rolls. Thanks Two Koi! Look for more Golden products to find their way to our shelves.
